With this album you are finally “Back in The Ring”! What can you tell us about this new record?
There is so much to tell!! I didn’t think I would be getting Vengeance together again so soon. Barend Courbois and Michael Voss brought a lot of renewed energy into the band. We may have lost track a little after Flight 19. I didn’t no where to go from there. After getting together with Michael, we saw the only way to go was back to the old Vengeance! So we started writing with THAT in mind.

This is a pure hard rock album with a great live approach and attitude. Isn’t it?
You’re right! Absolutely. The whole reason to do an album is to get the songs so that they come across live!

Vengeance had their debut in 1983. During these years many changes are gone in the music business and in the music world. What about Vengeance’s evolution in rock?
Rock always’s seems to double back on itself. After a while every band want’s to try something different, (with maybe the exception of Status Quo and AC/DC!!!), only to find out that what they did in the first place was probably the best. Look at all the classic bands coming back… with the old stuff!!

This record was produced by Michael Voss and there are many guest artists. How were born these collaborations?
People I knew, or Barend, but also some of Michaels friends who knew about vengeance. A phone call is sometimes all it takes!!

Which are your expectations about this record?
I hope it re –introduces us to the old fans and opens the door to the new generation hardrockers. We are as hungry as we were when we started out. The new band is as good as any previous line up, and ready to rock!!

You’ll perform at Bang Your Head festival. Do you perform in some others summer festivals? Will you come to Italy?
Italy is on our wish list. Hopefully a promoter will call and get is down there !! We love the pasta, the espresso and the women and now that Italy are world champions again, their football!!!!!!!!!
